Chicken biryani cook recipe

Chicken Biryani is mainly an Indian Food. But now this is a very popular dish in south Asia. Day by day it's popularity is increased all over the world. Here I will describe very simple way to cook chicken biryani .




Ingredients:
  •  1 kg Chicken pieces 
  •  500 gm basmati Rice washed and soaked for 15-25 min
  •  4 tbsp Garam Masala Powder 
  •  50 gm Butter or Ghee
  •  4 tbsp chopped Garlic 
  •  1 cup sliced Onions 
  •  2 tbsp Turmeric Powder 
  •  3 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  •  1 tbsp Coriander Powder 
  •  4 tbsp chopped Ginger
  •  5 tbsp Oil 
  •  2 cup Curd/yogurt (Optional)
  •  3/4 cup chopped Tomato
  •  4 Bay Leaves 
For the marinade:
§   1-1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder 
§  2 tbsp chopped Ginger
§  2 tbsp chopped Garlic 
§  1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder 
§  1 tbsp Turmeric Powder 
§   1 cup Yogurt 
§   Salt to taste
How to cook
  •  Put all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl and mix well.
  •  Add chicken pieces to it and leave for an hour.
  •  Now boil water, add bay leaf, rice and a little butter in it and cook it until 3/4 th is done, drain and keep it aside.
  •  Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan add sliced onions and cook it till light golden brown.
  •  Add 1 tbsp of the garam masala and all the remaining ingredients, including tomatoes but rice.
  •  Cook for 5 minutes and add marinated chicken in it.
  •  Cook until chicken is tender.
  •  Place alternate layers of chicken and rice.
  •  Add butter abd a little Garam masala in every layer.
  •  Cover it and cook it further on low flame for 10-12 minutes.
Now your delicious Chicken Biryani is ready to serve.
